In conversation with Sofi Croft

Today as part of the #UKYACX blog tour, I am ‘in conversation with’ Sofi Croft.  Sofi has two books published this year, one for the MG market, Indigo’s Dragon a book full of mystery, monsters and dragons (review coming soon) and Eidolon a dark, supernatural, super-powered YA fantasy! Both books are the first stories of a trilogy so much to look forward to. Without further ado, let’s find out more about Sofi and her books...

Any advice to anyone dreaming of becoming an author?

Write often, write passionately, and write to please yourself.

Where do you get your writing inspiration from?

From wandering through life, landscapes and books.

What inspired you to write for the YA genre?

I write for myself, then publishing types tell me my books are for young people.

What are you working on next?

The final book in the Eidolon trilogy.

If, heaven forbid, there was a fire, what possession would you grab first to save?

Each of my children’s favourite toys.

What five people, living or dead, would you choose to invite to a dinner party?

Living writers I would love to invite would include David Almond, Malorie Blackman, Sally Gardner, Benjamin Zephaniah, and S.F. Said.

Thank you Sofi for taking part in this blog tour with me.  You can find out more about the authors taking part in both blog tours if you head over to Twitter and search for @UKYACX

Happy Reading
